To all Part Bs(again),
If you have not sewn on your LCP rank by now, please do so by Friday, 9 Jan 2009. I noticed that majority (or is it all?) of you do not have any badges. Here's some suggestions. If you haven't gotten them yourself already.
NAPFA badges (Bronze, Silver, Gold):
Approach ASM with the number of Bronze, Silver, Gold badges needed for Part Bs. There is a plastic bag of NAPFA badges in the store. Hopefully, it's enough for all. If not, you can always follow the same method as for your Total Defence Bronze badge (mentioned further on in the post). Last time I asked, it was priced at $1/pc at Beach Rd.
Kayaking Badge*/Part A Proficiency Badge*:
Approach ASM or any of the SSGs with a nominal roll of the Part B cadets who qualify for these badges. The two badges can only be issued by HQ NCC. ASM will then prepare a Badges Indent form for CO to endorse and submit to HQ.
*NOTE: If you can get this done before Trainfire tomorrow, there may be chance for you to get it really soon.
Total Defence(TD) Bronze Badge*:
Same as the previous badges, they can also be issued by HQ NCC. In a matter of fact, all badges/ranks are issued by HQ. It just takes quite some time for you to receive them. You can always try the same way as the Kayaking/Proficiency Badge and approach ASM with the nominal roll.
But, the recommended method to get your TD Bronze badge asap is to:
1) Get the amount of badges needed and the names of the cadets who are buying
2) One or a few of you head down to Beach Rd one of these days and buy the badges with money collected from those buying (the last time I asked, it was priced at $2.50/pc)
3) Give the badges to their owners and you're done
LCP Rank:
This is also be issued by HQ NCC. But, similar to the kayaking and proficiency badges, it'll take time for the forms to be processed. So, we suggest that you buy them instead.
Do contact your seniors or leave a message on the tagboard if you come across any problems on this issue. I'll do my best to address the problems/questions asap.
