Do’s
Paying of compliments (With effect from 1st Apr 06, all SAF RSM’s will be addressed as Sergeant Major when paying of compliments, the rest of the Warrant Officers would be addressed as “Encik”)
When going from point to point, headdress and marching is a must.
You are to be dressed correctly and smartly at all times and maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.
For Female Cadets, use a hair net to bun up your long hair neatly.
You should be exemplary at all times and are to maintain your best behavior.
When marching in a group, you have to swing your arms as stipulated in the drill manual. The IC will be responsible for the orderly behavior of the group.
Do respect your seniors.
Do inform your IC if you need to go off (eg. toilet)
Reporting sick is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED during the course or camp.
When wearing PT kit or half-u, always tuck in your t-shirts.
After meals, clear the table of your leftovers and push in your chair
When conversing with a superior, adopt a proper standing posture.
Briefing Notes for CLTs and CadetsDon’ts Do not eat or drink while walking. It is rude.
Do not go into out-of-bounds area. Stay within the group.
Do not use vulgar language.
Do not smoke and steal.
Do not spit, talk in a loud manner, yawn or laugh loudly.
Do not squat, slouch or lean against object but stand smartly or sit in an upright position.
Do not bring sharp objects like penknives or paper cutters
Do not bring your handphones to lessons. Keep them in a locked cupboard.
Do not borrow money or gamble with your fellow Cadets.
Do not talk on controversial and sensitive subjects
Do not placed bulky items in your pants side pockets
Do not hang your water bottle on your belt strap instead hold it with your left hand when moving from point to point
